Jim Carrey Is ‘Twisted’ In Dark Crimes UK Trailer
He may not have been the flavour of the month but we’re glad to see Jim Carrey back in front of the camera. In his first lead role in over four years, he returns in Dark Crimes and we have the UK Trailer to wet our palettes.
For years we know him for his comedic roles and occasional serious intriguing roles (Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind), his latest role takes him in another direction. In this one thing take a gloomy downturn in a Euro noir thriller. Carrey plays a disgraced cop who finds one last opportunity to go out on a high. A case that will test his moral fibres as he tries to unearth the truth, every crime reveals a story.

After all the personal demons, baggage that’s plagued the actor past few years, glad to see him back. 
Trying something slightly different and he has that knack that comedians can play serious roles. Like Adam Sandler, Steve Carrell, and Robin Williams all proven they could nail serious and funny roles equally.
Synopsis | When a crime novelist shares intimate knowledge of an unsolved murder, disgraced detective Tadek (Jim Carrey) sees an opportunity to end his career with honour. The author, outspoken provocateur Kozlow (Marton Csokas), isnโt as slippery as his prose implies, however. Trapped in a battle of wits that will test his very moral fibre, the hardened investigator must confront the shadows lurking in every corner if he hopes to uncover what the truth is, or really means.
The film also stars Marton Csokas, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kati Outinen and Vlad Ivanov.
Dark Crimes will be released in the UK and Ireland on Digital Download 2nd July and DVD 9th July 2018 from Signature Entertainment.
