Jenny From The Block Plays With Jason Statham In Parker Trailer One

When you look at the ratio of films Jason Statham has made the past few years he is certainly Mr Action so it would be more of a shock if his next film was not action based but, it’s action based! Step forward the first trailer for Parker which sees Statham team up J-Lo Jennifer Lopez in a story of thief who seeks revenge against his team who double crossed and left him for dead. Even among thieves they have rules they live by: don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it.

Parker does look much of the same but with the energy levels cranked up a few notches , silliness is still there so are one liners but it is also slightly off kilter for Statham as this time he has to rely on dressing up in various guises such as priests, clowns and a Texan with really bad accent. What may make this one a little more appealing is down to the cast which sees Michael Chiklis, Nick Nolte and Wendell Pierce (not forgetting J-Lo too!) which is impressive for a Statham lead film. Surprise Surprise Parker is based on a graphic novel with Ray director Taylor Hackford behind the camera for this one, so potentially this has the making of possibly been Statham’s biggest film.

Parker will arrive on 25th January 2013 on both sides of the Atlantic
