Jake Gyllenhaal A ‘Fool In Love’ In Presumed Innocent Trailer

Jake Gyllenhaal in Presumed Innocent watch Trailer

Presume nothing, as Jake Gyllenhaal is a ‘fool in love’ in Apple TV Crime drama series Presumed Innocent, watch first trailer.

Did he or didn’t he? That is the burning question that will be under the radar of this upcoming eight part series. Veteran TV alumni David E. Kelley (Chicago Hope, Big Little Lies, Ally McBeal) creates alongside JJ Abrams as executive producer with Gyllenhaal also produces.

Gyllenhaal recently may have been beating people up in the recent Roadhouse remake. Now he plays a criminal prosecutor who finds himself in the docks accused of murder. In Presumed Innocent he is Rusty Sabiach who has everything he wants in life including a great job. Suspected of an horrific murder will prove his innocence or convince the jury he’s innocent?

This is based on Scott Turow’s best selling book of the same name. The trailer does tease a tone of something a little darked than expected for a series like this. Are we looking at a more serial version of David Fincher’s Gone Girl?

Based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, the gripping series takes viewers on a journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office when chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich (played by Gyllenhaal) is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.

The star-studded ensemble cast also includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Elizabeth Marvel, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard and Kingston Rumi Southwick. Presumed Innocent will make its global debut on Apple TV+, premiering the first two episodes on Wednesday, 12th June.
