Is that Yoga For Satanists? Trailer For The Devil Inside

After the worldwide success of Paranormal Activity it was no surprise Paramount where going to continue the surge into micro-budget films in search for the next big surprise. To boost their chances the film studio launched Insurge a a division within the company to create or hunt down potential projects that will earn them the same return at the box office as Paranormal with a fraction of the cost to create and the first out the factory line is The Devil Inside.

The Devil Inside is straight from the big book of exorcism inspired from the likes of Insidious, The Last Exorcism, this film follows Isabella whose mother murdered 3 people (who I wonder?) during an exorcism. In the hope to understand whats happened to her Mother she goes of to investigate to find she’s been sectioned in thrown in a mental institution. With such a low budget at stake here even if the film is a flop at the box Office this one shouldn’t take long to at least break even but as a potential as a franchise, tough one it looks scary enough but how long can cinephiles take with endless found footage, shaky camera horror-thrillers? The Devil Inside stars Fernanda Andrade, Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth and will be released in UK&Ireland on February 3rd 2012.
