This is basic plotline for Man Up starring Lake Bell and Simon Pegg who looks like he maybe back on form after his recent blimp, watch UK trailer.

Man Up stars Bell (sporting a British accent)a disillusioned singleton Nancy grown tired of the dating game and constant set ups from friends. Due to a strange circumstance she meets Jack (Pegg), a recent divorcee who mistaken Nancy as his blind date, can she ‘man up’ tell him his mistake or just go with the flow?

There seems to be a big sense of realism which grounds the film making it easy for viewers to possibly connect on a personal level. No soppy Hollywood antics here just solid romantic fun from 2 people who know how to deliver in front of the screen (Bell, Pegg) and 2 behind Ben Palmer (The Inbetweeners) and highly thought of writer Tess Morris.

Man Up arrives in UK Cinemas from 29th May co-starring Rory Kinnear, Olivia Williams, Sharon Horgan, Ken Stott, Ophelia Lovibond and Stephen Campbell Moore.

Nancy (Lake Bell), is done with dating. 10 times bitten, 100 times shy, she’s exhausted by the circus. So when Jack (Simon Pegg) blindly mistakes her for his date, no one is more surprised than her when she does the unthinkable and just — goes with it. It’s going to take a night of pretending to be someone else for Nancy to finally Man Up and be her painfully honest, awesomely unconventional self… but will Jack also Man Up, and be able to get over her duplicity?
