Is Chris Cooper To Play Norman Osborn? Sneak Peek at Spiderman’s New Look

Since the last month Marc Webb has been teasing Spidey fans on Twitter For The Amazing Spiderman 2 last one was a look at Spiderman’s new mask, today we finally see the new look in full! Also is Chris Cooper joining the cast as Harry Osborn?

Sony Pictures have put us all out of our misery and sent us an image which gives us a good look (at least top half of Spidey’s torso). To be honest there isn’t much change to the uniform with the eyes the only real part with any drastic changes, 2 weeks ago they where black rimmed now with the web style lines now a little thicker with more red added to his cozie too.

One exciting thing we do love about The Amazing Spiderman 2 is movies cast which is now starting to get very crowded in the villainous side of things with Heat Vision reporting that Chris Cooper has joined the cast as Norman Osborn better known as Green Goblin. To many he’s no stranger to Peter Parker’s world as he is regarded as Spiderman’s greatest enemy, a part played by Willem Dafoe in the Sam Raimi  franchise with James Franco playing his son Harry (Dane Dehaan in the upcoming sequel).There is no word if Norman Osborn will start out as a baddie or will he be more friendlier maybe a mentor/father figure setting things up for the third film  for him to crack and become Spidey’s greatest foe?

Could this arc setting up the missing link  between Dr Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), Irrfan Khan‘s character and Norman Osborn? What we know there is Connors was brought into cure the illness Osborn had with Khan’s character running the show at Oscorp but in the first film we never see what actually happens to Khan’s character? We are waging our dollars on a gradual change from good to bad for Norman Osborn as we already have Jamie Foxx as Electro, Paul Giamatti  possibly living out his boyhood dream of becoming the Rhino, but who is the mysterious character Felicty Jones will be playing, another villain? You have to raise the ante for The Amazing Spiderman 2 has been truly risen to exceptional levels, Chris Cooper has the chops to deliver that nefarious Osborn/Green Goblin persona with great precision.

The Amazing Spiderman 2 has been set for an 18th April 2014 UK release and  will star Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, Sally Field with newcomers Jamie Foxx,Shailene Woodley  and Dane Dehaan
