Is Aaron Taylor-Johnson To Be QuickSilver In Avengers 2?
As Marvel’s Phase 2 is well and truly started the build up for Avengers 2 movie has already kicked off. It was only a few weeks ago director Joss Whedon started to mention characters who may appear in the Avengers sequel with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver been touted as possible candidates. Whedon has stated he has already started the new film’s script and with Marvel producer Kevin Feige confirming the two new characters will appear in the film it now seems Quicksilver already has an actor to fill the role,Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
One thing we must remember here this is only an idea, a consideration no firm offer has been officially made, even the notion of Quicksilver despite Feige saying the character will be, it’s early days things can change drastically. Could this news just be pressure talking as recently over at Fox Bryan Singer mentioned that for X-Men: Days Of Future Past the director has confirmed his film will also has Quicksilver (character seen alot in the X-Men universe) character to be played by American Horror actor Evan Peters? If Whedon does go ahead and use Quicksilver due to the rights he cannot mention that he is the son of Magneto as with Scarlet Witch Magneto’s Daughter.
Apart from been Magneto’s son who is Quicksilver? He is a mutant who is capable thinking and moving at Superhuman speeds. He and his sister have the unique fact that they are members of X-Men and Avengers hence the reason they can be used in both films. Fox do have the upper-hand on the exposure of the origins but how subtle will Whedon be is up for debate, we’ll assume i this will be a case of the representatives of both studios sitting around a table and attempt to broker a deal.
