Ahead of it’s world premiere at Fantasia Film Festival we have a First Trailer for Lovecraftian Glorious. Rebekah McKendry’s (All The Creatures Were Stirring) horror indie will also be heading to Shudder hence this promo.

The film stars True Blood‘s Ryan Kwanten as the drunk man who finds himself trapped in a never ending cosmos spiral. He’s not alone, J.K Simmons the omniscient voice but who is he?

kwanten is Wes, a man spiralling out of control thanks to a bad break up. His day gets worse when he finds he’s locked up in the bathroom at a service station. He’s not alone, a mysterious figure is in the opposite cubicle. As he tries to escape he starts to realise that the figure is not what he say he us.

Glorious speaks to my adoration of Lovecraft, gore, absurdist humor, philosophy, and the type of transgressive movies that leave you thinking I can’t believe I just saw that,” says director McKendry. “It is a wild mix of horror, humor, and heady moralistic concepts about our own existential realizations of who we really are, forcing each of us to stare into our personal abyss. And sometimes, the abyss stares back… and maybe has a favour to ask.”

We do enjoy those film that find the antagonist trapped in one claustrophobic location. Throw in HP Lovecraft, some comedy, morality we have a entertaining film that can go anywhere!
