Apple TV+ new comedic sci-fi series coming to the streamer in May

A ‘murderous’ bot that loves soap operas?! In Sci-Fi comedy series Murderbot , Alexander Skarsgård is that bot who loves Soap Operas and Apple TV+ have revealed the official Trailer.

They say androids, robots are getting more intelligent as time goes by, it would only be the matter of time they question that meaning of life. Murderbot is based on Martha Wells novel Murderbot Diaries, about a self hacking security robot . He’s alarmed by the emotion and vulnerability of is human clients, and he wants to do is get his fix of soap operas rather than dangerous missions.

I don’t have Apple TV+, from the chat from those I know who do Apple so far the shows have been positive. Do you think this will be one?

Based on Martha Wells’ best-selling, Hugo and Nebula Award winning book series “The Murderbot Diaries,” “Murderbot” is a sci-fi thriller/comedy about a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients. Played by Skarsgård, Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.

The series also stars David Dastmalchian, Noma Dumezweni, Sabrina Wu, Tattiawna Jones, Akshay Khanna, and Tamara Podemski.

Murderbot will launch on Apple TV+ with the first 2 episodes from 16th May.
