In Pixie Trailer Olivia Cooke Up Against Gangster Priests

Paramount Pictures has released the UK Trailer for Irish crime comedy Pixie.

The film stars Olivia Cooke as a young woman wanting avenge her Mother’s recent death. How do you mourn her death? plan a heist! Cooke plays the titular character and like every great heist in movie land they all go pear shaped! She goes on the run with two men (Ben Hardy and Daryl McCormack) who find themselves out of their depth.

Having gangster priests gives the film a comedic edge and that funny level rises tenfold with it being set in Ireland. Looks like there’s plenty of gangster style humour which will make genre fans smile or even laugh out loud. This being a Gangster film great to see a female lead in a male dominated genre…

Pixie (Cooke) wants to avenge her mother’s death by masterminding a heist, but her plans go awry and she finds herself on the run with two young men (Hardy, McCormack) who are way out of their depth being chased across the Wild Irish countryside by gangsters. She has to pit her wits against everyone, taking on the patriarchy to claim the right to shape her own life.

The film also stars Alec Baldwin, Colm Meaney, Ned Dennehy, Dylan Moran, and Sebastian De Souza.Barnaby Thompson (St. Trinian’s remake films) directs this one.

Pixie will be in UK and Irish Cinemas from 23rd October.
