In New Pet Sematary Trailer ‘They Don’t Come Back The Same’

thirty or so years ago Stephen King‘s classic chiller Pet Sematary became a feature film. Regarded by some as King’s most terrifying book to date, now we have a reboot. In an era were remakes/reboots have become the norm how can Kevin Kölsch, Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes) deliver something different but still faithful?

Just before last Halloween we got the first trailer teased us this might be just different as promised. Today Paramount Pictures have released the Second Trailer and YES we get a big clue things are different. That different you could regard this Trailer as a spoiler, you’ve been warned its a potential plot twist.

If your approaching with no spoilers, we meet a family who relocate to rural life in Maine from Boston.They discover an ancient burial ground. When Tragedy strikes the father turns to a local doctor which starts off a series of sinister events.

This is one time things are better off dead, as they don’t come back the same! Beware of that angry look furball!

Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, PET SEMATARY follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.

Pet Sematary  now has its UK and Irish cinema release date. As expected it’s 5th April 2019, same release date as the USA.

The film also stars Jason Clarke, Amu Seimetz, John Lithgow, Jeté Laurence, Hugo Lavoie, and Lucas Lavoie.
