In Netflix’s Cadaver Trailer Are Your The Spectators Or The Spectacle?

Cadaver (2020)

Rarely do we see the horror genre tip it’s toes into a Nuclear catastrophe. We will next month when Norwegian horror Cadaver and today Netflix have released the film’s Trailer, asking you one question…Are just one of The Spectators or The Spectacle?

The film is written and directed by Jarand Herdal. We find ourselves in an aftermath of an Nuclear disaster a family hungry for food, a local hotel invites them to a play which includes a meal. They are all given a mask to wear to separate them from the actors, attendees start to disappear. The family quickly realise not all what it seems!

A Post Apocalyptic Twilight Zone episode? We do love the intriguing premise and the dread that will hit the attendees big time, just in time for Halloween!

In the starving aftermath of a nuclear disaster, Leonora (Gitte Witt), Jacob (Thomas Gullestad) and their daughter Alice (Tuva Olivia Remman) are on the edge of survival. One day, the local hotel invites survivors to attend a theatre play, with a meal included, as a charitable effort to help those in need. Left with no choice, the family of three decide to go to the hotel, where the director, Mathias (Thorbjรธrn Harr), introduces the entire hotel as the stage. Attendees are given masks to help separate them from actors, but the play takes an eerie turn when audience members start to disappear. The line between reality and theatre quickly gets blurred, until Alice disappears in front of Leo and Jacob, and thereโ€™s no longer room for doubt: Something is very wrong with Mathiasโ€™ hotel.

The film stars Gitte Witt, Thomas Gullestad, Tuva Olivia Remman, Thorbjรธrn Harr, Maria Grazia De Meo, Trine Wiggen, and Bente Bรธrsum.

Cadaver will be released on Netflix from 22nd October.
