Next month Prime will bring us a different ‘breed’ of romantic comedy, when they launch Merv. Today they have dropped the official Trailer and it seems Zooey Deschanel, Charlie Cox Christmas ‘Goes To The Dogs‘.
Sorry folks, 6 weeks until Christmas which means town centres around the country, will have those seasonal decorations up. It also means channels like Prime unleash their festive films and shows like Merv.
There’s nothing more worse than a break up. In Merv, Anna (Deschanel) and Russ (Cox) have just split up. The pair have a problem, the dog which seems to have lost it’s spark pushing the pair into an awkward situation.
Next to those lovable dogs the human cast also includes Chris Redd, Patricia Heaton, plus Ellyn Jameson.

Synopsis | When their beloved dog Merv loses his spark after their split, Anna (Zooey Deschanel) and Russ (Charlie Cox) are forced into the world’s most awkward co-parenting arrangement. Hoping to shake Merv out of his funk, Russ takes him to Florida for a much-needed getaway—only for Anna to show up unexpectedly. As Merv slowly gets his groove back, turns out fixing their dog’s broken heart may lead to a few sparks of their own.
Merv will be streaming globally on Prime Video from 10th December.
