You saw the ab-tastic image of  Alexander Skarsgård yesterday revealing all in his loin and this morning in The Legend Of Tarzan teaser trailer he becomes the King of the jungle. All hail the lord of the apes!

Whilst many women around the world day yesterday might have got better with that shirtless image, today the real reason for the image reveal, which suggests a slightly darker tone might be in play here.

In The Legend Of Tarzan It’s been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Margot Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

Directed by David Yates  known for directing the last 4 Harry Potter films is behind the lens very much in demand  who is also directing the spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. After disappointment of Pan this trailer shows more optimism and Warner Bros have had faith in the British director for a while. That confidence does seem to shine through in the first trailer, with a sense of mystery as well as aesthetically alluring. After several disappointing attempts by various filmmakers to deliver Tarzan film, Summer 2016 we may just get that film fans of the character been waiting for. What’s more intriguing about this version, it’s not an origin film hopefully one that deliver’s that promise. Move over Johnny Weissmuller, Alexander Skarsgård is now the King of The Jungle!

Co-Starring Samuel L. Jackson, John Hurt and Djimon Hounsou,Legend Of Tarzan will be released in UK cinemas on 8th July 2016.
