In Halloween 2018 Trailer Forget The Past Embrace The Future
The nightmare isn’t over and today the first Trailer for the long-awaited sequel for Halloween 2018 is finally here!
After endless sequels (many not worth your viewing time), the word ‘quality’ will be returning to the franchise. We’ve been waiting impatiently since it was revealed at CinemaCon, which the Trailer received positive feedback. Like any buzz, we want to see it ourselves and Jason Blum kept his promise that the trailer will land early June.
Now we have that promo and yes it’s worth the wait. That good the upcoming film asks us to forget the past and embrace the future…
Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
With John Carpenter onboard be it for an executive producer (and the film’s score), has gotten fans excited especially how iconic it is. His enthusiasm for the project and David Gordon Green, Danny McBride got us all onboard. It gave the film a sense of authenticity making any changes a little bit easier to accept.
The big change is it asks us to forget what came after the original 1978 film. It’s not a full on remake, it looks to have brought back the fear in Michael Myers. This time Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) is waiting for him as he targets her daughter and granddaughter. We know Blumhouse want to expand the franchise, will it be the end of the road for Laurie?
Halloween 2018 will arrive in the UK, Ireland, and the USA October 19th. The film also stars Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardener, Dylan Arnold, Drew Scheid, and Miles Robbins.
