“Hoist The Flag!”” A New Featurette For Pirates!In an Adventure with Scientists

The past few weeks at the end of the previews there has been 30 second spot by aardman animations about pirating and I’ve heard a few people saying “that would be a great film with those pirates”. Guess what folks it is a new film Pirates!In an Adventure with Scientists is a new film coming to UK&Ireland on March 28th and today we have a new featurette.

Also known in USA as Pirates! Band Of Misfits this new featurette has a look behind the scenes at the painstaking work the talented animators have to go through  especially as this is a stop motion animation. Its amazing to learn that for 60 minutes only 4 minutes film made the cut and that’s alot of blood,sweat and tears and it’s a shame at times some people don’t appreciate this form of animation compared to others. Pirates! certainly has bundles of slapstick humour which will keep the kids entertained as well as parents too or any fan of Aardman’s previous work and this one looks potentially to be the best of the bunch!

The film is backed by a fantastic cast lending their voices for some fun and frolic on the seas: Hugh Grant, Martin Freeman, David Tennant, Imelda Staunton, Jeremy Piven, Salma Hayek, Brian“Gordon’s Alive!” Blessed, Brendan Gleeson, and Ashley Jensen.The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists 3D is set for a 28 March 2012 UK&Irish Release, US release is 27 April 2012.
