Watch THE HOBBIT Video Production Diary #7!

As many other films start to adopt the video blog diaries today we have the latest one from the man who made them popular Peter Jackson as we have the 7th video production video diary for THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY. Its 3 months since diary entry 6 and with the new video we go behind the scenes and have a tour around the studio Stone Street in Auckland, New Zealand a former paint factory which was the home of the Lord of The Rings Trilogy and of course the new The Hobbit films.

On the tour we meet some of the cast like James Nesbitt, Luke Evans even the big yin Billy Connolly and Legolas himself Orlando Bloom makes an unexpected appearance! As we watch the 14 minute video we tour around having a little look into the stages, trailers, prosthetics departments, Weta, meet some of the stunt men and women  who’ll you’ll see don’t do a lot in between filming and if your eagle eyed a sneak look at some of the sets but you’ll notice a lot are blocked for obvious reasons!

As usual Peter Jackson loves to keep the fans updated on what’s going on making these videos a lot of fun and shows those doubters that The Hobbit won’t be the same as what went on with The Lord Of The Rings. Maybe however if you’ve been watching these great videos you’ll know that the changes are simply cast everything looks the same! This looks like this will be the last diary entry during the filming which means  post production is around the corner and think about it next Friday add 6 months  THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY will be in the cinema! November 28th has been announced as the world premiere in Auckland New Zealand, off course!

THE HOBBIT:AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY will be with us 14th December 2012 with the final part coming 13th December 2013 with THE HOBBIT:THERE AND BACK AGAIN. The cast includes returnees from Lord Of The Rings Sir Ian McKellan, Cate Blanchett​, Orlando Bloo, Ian Holm​, Elijah Wood, Christopher Lee​, Hugo Weaving​ and Andy Serkis with new cast of Richard Armitage, Jed Brophy​, Adam Brown, John Callen, Stephen Fry​, Ryan Gage, Mark Hadlow, Peter Hambleton, Stephen Hunter​, William Kircher, Sylvester McCoy, Bret McKenzie, Graham McTavish​, Mike Mizrahi, James Nesbitt, Dean O’Gorman, Lee Pace, Mikael Persbrandt​, Conan Stevens, Ken Stott, Jeffrey Thomas, Luke Evans, Benedict Cumberbatch​ , Aidan Turner​, Evangeline Lily and Barry Humphries.
