Lionsgate Films have released the teaser promo for the sequel for action comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard. Introducing Salma Hayek the volatile wife and infamous con artist of Kincaird (Jackson). However Ryan Reynolds still having nightmares, at least once a day!
Bryce (Reynolds) is still haunted in dreams by Kincaid, and is advised to have a break from Bodyguarding. It’s only the matter of time the pair cross paths and on a mission of destruction. A run in with Sonia Kincaid (Hayek) sees them all going global and up against a powerful mad man (Antonio Banderas)
Did we really need a sequel, probably not. The original was ok, despite how much fun certain films maybe, some films should only be made as one film. On the evidence of this teaser if you enjoyed the previous film, you will probably love this. This time Reynolds looks like he’ll run the show in this one, expect his usual comedy trimmings and another fun escapist mayhem on the cards.
The world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) – are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as… well, you’ll have to see.
The film’s cast will also include Antonio Banderas, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wright, Alice McMillan, Kristofer Kamiyasu, Tom Hopper, Blake Ritson, and Richard E. Grant.
The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard will arrive in UK and Irish cinemas from Wednesday 23rd June (16th June in USA).
