Hilary Swank Has A Purpose In Life In Ordinary Angels UK Trailer
Ordinary people can make the impossible possible and Hilary Swank finds a purpose in life. Today Sony Pictures Releasing have released UK Trailer for Ordinary Angels.
The faith based drama was released last year Stateside, and will be in UK cinemas later this month. Take the religious side of things away, this would be labelled under uplifting maybe even inspirational.
No criticism of this film, faith based films rarely grab cinephiles attention in the UK. Compared to the U.S who seem to be more opened to religion, and YES many people here very devoted to their faith.
In Ordinary Angels, Swank is small town hairdresser Sharon who crosses paths with Ed (Alan Ritchson). He’s a widower whose youngest daughter desperately needs a transplant. Sharon might be that Angel Ed’s family has been waiting for.
The trailer pushes the religious element and the power of miracles. This is based on a true story, it’s a little cheesy, melodramatic, would this do better on the small screen?
Based on a remarkable true story, ORDINARY ANGELS centres on Sharon (Hilary Swank), a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed (Alan Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels.
The film also stars Nancy Travis, Tamala Jones, Amy Acker, along with Emily Mitchell and Skywalker Hughes (awesome first name!). Ordinary Angels will be in UK and Irish cinemas from 26th April.
