Harry Potter To be 'All Quiet On The Western Front?' (plus info on new movie trailer)

A few weeks ago was an end of an era when the filming finished on another epic popular franchise when the last scenes where shot on Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows part 2 (part one out November 19th, part 2 july 2011), 8 movies 10 long years. So its time for the young cast to move onto other pastures new.

Now the Harry Potter himself aka Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t have a regular movie job to rely on now, he’s already earned himself millions from playing the young wizard so what can he do next? According to Playlist he’ll be heading to Broadway to headline Rob Ashford’s musical How To  Suceed without really trying  but that wont be until next year as he’ll have lots of promotion on part one of the harry movie along with filming The Journey is the destination the movie about Dan Eldon the photojournalist whose photos opened the worlds eye’s to the trouble in Somalia in 1992. So Radcliffe has lined up projects for the coming months, he has now sorted out what he’ll be doing after those projects now.

Variety are reporting that the young 20 year old actor is to play the lead role in the remake of All Quiet On The Western Front which won 2 oscars for best  & Best director (Lewis Milestone) in 1930. The movie is based on  Erich Maria Remarque’s novel about a young soldier Paul Baumerfighting in the trenches of world war one and the terrifying horror’s many of the soldiers faced.

This will be the second time Radcliffe has been in a drama as a soldier in the trenches when he played in the ITV TV drama My Boy Jack along side Kin Cattrill and Carey Mulligan in 2007 . The big question is how well can he cope with life outside the franchise that made him famous? With projects I’ve mentioned it looks like he’s not jumping into any tom dick or harry project and actually thinking about what he can do rather im harry potter where can I go.

As for when All Quiet On The Western Front will be out, we have a bit of a wait expect filming to not start for at least another 2 years as there is no director connected to the project, only Ian Stokell and Lesley Paterson signed up to write the script as well as produce, as for other stars Bernard Hill is the only other actor signed up for the movie which will be out sometime 2013.

Staying with Harry Potter and Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows Part 1 which is out Novmber 19th, the first full trailer will be online American Pacific time 4pm on june 28th, that’s about 7pm American east coast and around midnight into june 29th for all of us here in UK and Ireland. But if your a big Twilight Fan on June 30th when Twilight:Eclipse is  released the trailer will be shown as a preview in USA only, I dont have any info as and when the trailer will show in British or Irish cinemas.

So remember to check back here on June 28th possibly night time and ill post the trailer as soon as i get my hands on it.
