Harmony Korine’s The Beach Bum Gets UK Distributor

It’s been six years since Harmony Korine released the repugnant Springbreakers. It may not have been our favourite film but we appreciate its an cult film loved by many. There’s been a lot of gossip, very action from Korine until recently when The Beach Bum was recently released Stateside. What about here in the UK or Ireland?

Fans of Harmony Korine fear not Screen Daily has exclusively revealed the film now has a UK and Irish Distributor.

BlueFinch Films Releasing will give Korine’s sixth feature a cinematic release. BlueFinch is an new UK based independent film distributor set up by former Kaleidoscope executive Mike Chapman. He set it up in August 2018 which has already released Ewan McGregor as Jesus in The Last Days Of The Desert.

BlueFinch are also set to release Body At Brighton Rock (European Premier Edinburgh Film Festival 28th June), and Karen Gillan’s directorial debut The Party’s Just Beginning (made its World Premiere at Glasgow Film Festival).

A wildly original and subversive new comedy film that follows the outrageous misadventures of Moondog (Matthew McConaughey), a rebellious burnout who only knows how to live life by his own rules. The cast including Snoop Dogg, Isla Fisher, Zac Efron, Jimmy Buffett, and Martin Lawrence.

The Beach Bum premiered at SXSW Festival back in March and a American Trailer was released. Check it out, beware it’s strictly NSFW…

BlueFinch Film Releasing haven’t announced an exact release date just yet for the UK and Ireland.
