Guy Pearce In Talks To Play Aldrich Killian In Iron Man 3?

Iron Man 3 is due to start filming next month and things on the casting front are certainly looking very intriguing. Recently we read about the possibility that Ben Kingsley could be playing Iron Man’s arch nemesis Mandarin and tonight Variety  are reporting that Guy Pearce is in final talks to play a vital character in the threequel.

It’s believed the new film is to have elements taken from Warren Ellis Extremis Comic Book and Pearce is set to play Aldrich Killian a geneticist who co created the Extremis virus with Maya Hansen a nano-technology which Iron Man employs. Killian oplanned to take it to the army but ended up selling it to terrorists which end up in Manadrin’s hands.

I haven’t seen Iron Man 2, but I have seen Iron Man, never really enjoyed the comicbooks and that’s probably one of the reasons why I may not enjoy certain comic book films compared to others but something I’m liking about Iron Man 3. Hopefully what Kevin Feige said about taking back Iron Man back to the cave in film one and starting over again like some sort of reboot it will have me onboard. Shane Black is on board to direct and Robert Downey Jr will be back with Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Scarlett Johansson all set to return to for a May 2013 release.
