First Look At Kate Winslet’s Directorial Debut, Goodbye June

goodbyejune2

Netflix has released a first look at Goodbye June, their upcoming film that marks the directorial debut of Oscar-winning Kate Winslet, with the first look photos below!

The film takes place just before Christmas, when an unexpected turn in their motherโ€™s health thrusts four adult siblings and their exasperating father into chaos as they navigate messy family dynamics in the face of potential loss. But their quick-witted mother, June, orchestrates her decline on her own terms โ€” with biting humour, blunt honesty, and a lot of love.

Winslet also produced the film, alongside Kate Solomon, with whom she worked on Lee, and Joe Anders penned the script. Winslet co-stars, too, alongside Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, Timothy Spall, Stephen Merchant, Jeremy Swift, Raza Jaffrey and Helen Mirren.

Some of the first photos from the film are below, via TUDUM.

Goodbye June opens in select UK cinemas on December 12th and on Netflix on December 24th.
