Goldberg To Be Inducted Into the WWE Hall Of Fame

As of this morning, WWE announced that Goldberg will be inducted into the 2018 WWE Hall Of Fame.

The former WCW World Champion is the first person to be announced this year. The 51 year-old shall be inducted in New Orleans, during Wrestlemania weekend.

Speaking to ESPN, Goldberg said: “At the end of the day, any business, any venture that you embark upon, you want some type of acknowledgement. You always try to make it to a top. There’s no reason to do anything unless you want to be the best.”

Upon making his return to WWE in October 2016, Goldberg embarked a remarkable comeback story. Despite leaving the company on bad terms in 2004, he came back to defeat Brock Lesnar in less than two-minutes.

Then he would go on to win the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Fastlane last year. However, he would lose the championship to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 33.

Since his last match, Goldberg has stepped away from the ring once more. However, we know that he shall be returning once more, but seemingly there shall be no in-ring return.

So far, Goldberg is the only name announce for the WWE Hall Of Fame class of 2018. But as Wrestlemania draws ever closer, more names shall be revealed as we journey close to New Orleans.
