Ever wondered what Thor was doing when Captain America and Iron Man where destroying their friendship as well as themselves? Those lovely folks at Marvel have unveiled the evidence in shape of a funny short ahead of Captain America:Civil War home release, Go Team Thor!
If you where fortunate to attend San Diego Comic Con last month and grab a seat at Marvel’s Panel this will look very familiar. The funny mockumentary ‘While You Were Fighting: A Thor Mockumentary‘ has finally been shared online , a short created by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. In a way it’s more a sizzle for Thor’s next big outing in cinemas but will be an extra on Civil War’s home release.
Chris Hemsworth shows off once again his comical chops and that our Asgardian prince Thor with his average roommate Daryl who helps him create ‘electronic letters’. Letters to Cap and Iron Man probably to let them know about his absence from the chaos of Civil War. But what you will see is his little detective work about some purple alien with a glove which has the ‘Infinity Stones’. This might only be a few minutes long but you get a sense of tone Waititi is aiming for, plenty of in jokes recently seen in What We Do In The Shadows.
Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in twocamps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
Thor:Ragnarok is set for 27th October 2017 UK&Irish release, with Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War out on DVD& Blu-ray (Digitally 29th August) 5th September.
