Give Your Soul To Dance Watch Suspiria UK Trailer

Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino directs Suspiria, 2018 remake of Dario Argento‘s iconic horror. After the film’s recent UK Premiere at the London Film Festival, we get the UK Trailer.

Are you ready to give your soul to dance? If you were scared of dance thanks to Black Swan you will be ‘disturbed’ with Guadagnino version of the classic 1977 classic Italian Horror. The trailer teases a lot of creepy intense atmosphere, one that will play on a harrowing psychological level. This looks like a slow burner which will have its fair share of graphic violence. The films running time is 152 minutes (1 hour longer than Argento’s version).

Even though I called this a remake, it’s not really a remake more a ‘reimaging’ inspired by Argento’s film. More recently Tilda Swinton who plays several characters (Madame Blanc, Dr Jozef Klemperer, Helena Markos) has stated this film is different.

Set in 1977 Berlin, Dakota Johnson plays Susie Bannon, an aspiring dancer who joins world-renowned dance academy. When she uncovers one dark secret things other members of her troupe start to disappear.

Yesterday we posted our London Film Festival review yesterday and Scott J.Davis reviewed the film, describing it as ” an eerie, uncomfortable but undeniably mesmeric experience“. He also called it a different beast from the original but still a spellbinding experience. That’s good enough for us!

A darkness swirls at the centre of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe’s artistic director (Tilda Swinton), an ambitious young dancer (Dakota Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.

Suspiria will be released in the UK and Ireland from 16th November. The film stars Tilda Swinton, Chloe Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, and Jessica Harper (who starred in the original).
