In Ghost In The Shell New Feauturette Meet ‘Section 9’

In 2 weeks time, we will finally get a chance to judge Rupert Sanders Ghost In The Shell when it’s released in UK, Ireland and the USA at the end of the month. There will be many critics who support the original or angry at the ‘whitewash’ controversy but we’re eager to judge the movie on our own terms as you maybe too. Last apparently a select few London only critics were treated to first 15 minutes of the movie and the word is good!

Ahead of that release, Paramount Pictures has sent us a brand new featurette called ‘Section 9‘ which has a look at the team Major (Scarlett Johansson) is part off. We learn a little about that team through interviews with Johansson, co-star Pilou Asbæk and director Sanders. They are a key integral part of the movie. Next, to the new promo, we have a new TV Spot called ‘Pilou’ ( Pilou Asbæk) the man with a heart but also Section 9’s most hardcore killer.

In the near future, Major (Scarlett Johansson) is the first of her kind: A human saved from a terrible crash, who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world’s most dangerous criminals. When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people’s minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that she has been lied to: her life was not saved, it was stolen. She will stop at nothing to recover her past, find out who did this to her and stop them before they do it to others. Based on the internationally acclaimed Japanese Manga, “The Ghost in the Shell.”

Ghost In The Shell is set to arrive in UK & Irish cinemas in the usual cinematic formats on 30th March.. Co-starring “Beat” Takeshi Kitano, Michael Carmen Pitt, Pilou Asbaek, Chin Han.
