Green Room

It’s not often that a film can cobble together an ensemble of the most talented up-and-coming young actors currently treading the boards in Hollywood. Green Room, out on Blu-ray and DVD September 19, does, and many of the desperately cool cast hail from our very own shores. Brit actor Callum Turner may be a name you are yet to hear, but he’s achieved the high accolade of ‘Star of Tomorrow’ by Screen International. Having been discovered after appearing as a model in Burberry adverts shot by Mario Testino, Callum was cast as a Bill Rohan in Queen and Country, a sequel to 1987’s Hope and Glory (John Boorman’s semi-autobiographical film about a young lad growing up in London during the blitz). Callum has also starred extensively on the UK’s small screen, in the BBC’s Ripper Street, C4’s hard-hitting Glue as Eli, and War and Peace. Callum recently appeared alongside Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy in Victor Frankenstein and is soon to hit the big screen again, playing Nathan in cult gamer adaptation Assassin’s Creed starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, and alongside Jeff Bridges in The Only Living Boy in New York.
