Here in the UK, we’re subjected to the same old bore fest of uninteresting television dramas; usually a crime style Ruth Rendell or repetitive Period Drama that is nother remake of a Bronte Sisters novel; though they maybe classic stories, there’s only so many times one can watch it!

Now when it comes to television dramas in USA it’s a whole new ball game; every season (winter, spring, summer, autumn) it’s a momentousness occasion, as television fans wait in anticipation at whats in store and when you see the line up you can’t really blame them. In these hard times a lot of big names in acting, as well as filmmaking, are heading back to television; the latest is Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli whose new tv show THE RIVER had it’s trailer debut online. If you loved the tension, invisible entities throwing victims to walls and first person cameras then you’ll love this! It also looks like the Smoke Monster from Lost has found his way back into a tv show! The River follows the story of wildlife expert and TV personality Emmet Cole. Emmet set course around the world with his wife, Tess, and son, Lincoln, while filming what would become one of the most popular shows in television. After he goes missing deep in the Amazon, his family, friends and crew set out on a mysterious and deadly journey to find him.
