First TV Spot For Clint Eastwood’s J Edgar

it was only two days ago  we got the first look at Clint Eastwood historical biopic J Edgar, the story of one of America’s most controversial and enimagtic characters J Edgar Hoover played by Leonardo Di Caprio.  As the story goes hoover is credited as the founder of FBI a organisation he ran for nearly 50 years from 1935 until 1972 manipulative got the job done with his right hand man Clyde Toulson (Armie Hammer) as well as his secret lover.

J Edgar might not overall look fantastic but its a sign the legendary actor’s directorial route is now back on track after his previous let downs, As for Hoover himself it looks like Di Caprio has  done a pretty convincing job at playing him. Warner Bros have unleashed the first tv spot for the movie which will be released in UK January 20th 2012 (USA November 9th).

J Edgar also stars Armie Hammer, Naomi Watts, Josh Lucas, Jeffrey Donovan, Ed Westwick, Judi Dench.

Based on the life of J. Edgar Hoover, the man often credited with making the FBI what it is today: an efficient, crime-fighting organization shrouded in secrecy. Hoover founded the organization in 1935 and remained director until his death in 1972.
