First Trailer For Bullet To The Head, Starring Sylvester Stallone
Back In In 1980’s there wasn’t enough fingers on our hands to count the number of great action hero’s we admired. Nowadays we have endless but unfortunately not many memorable ones so the old guard are coming back to show the youngsters hows it done, yesterday it was Arnie with The Last Stand today it’s Sly Stallone with the first trailer for Bullet To The Head. Once again it’s all about the timing with yesterday’s release of The Expendables 2 which is getting great reviews worldwide, so it’s better getting us when the mood is good for more cheesy old school one liners and cliches.
Bullet To The Head is based on a graphic Novel of the same name which has Stallone play a New Orleans soon to be retired hitman who creates an unexpected alliance with New York cop (Sung Kang) to take out the killers of their respective partners, a gang ran by Jason Momoa.
Like many films over the past few years this film has had its fair share of problems from the director Wayne Kramer who is replaced by Walter Hiller (The Warriors), to Thomas Jane been replaced by Sung Kang. It looks like the script is the victim hear, it doesn’t look overall horrible but it looks like the film is visiting old ground, some people may enjoy the nostalgia value others may give it the same old same old attitude but this is Stallone one of the many action actor who made these films non stop many moons ago.
I do have a soft spot for old school action films so in a way I’m looking forward to this one which will be with us on 1st February 2013. Bullet To The Head also stars Sarah Shahi, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christian Slater and Holt McCallany.
