First Official Image of The Cast Of Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows or is it The Munsters?

I remember when a American friend of mines asked why on The Peoples Movies I talk about films television no one has ever heard of? What he was meaning  Why do talk about stuff American’s haven’t heard off until he realised I’m a British based website  and those programmes , films where all popular here in UK&Ireland like Inbetweeners . You could argue until your red in the face about American shows, etc… or shows never been aired in other countries, the past year there is one programme which Im unsure was ever aired in UK but due to it’s cult status a fanbase did emerge here, that’s Dark Shadows.

Tim Burton’s dream of bringing his childhood chills of the classic cult  tv  to the big screen with of course with Johnny Depp and Burton’s wife Helena Boham Carter who looks like Margaret Thatcher with Red Hair. Last week a few images of Johnny Depp who plays the playboy Barnabus looking more like a cross between sherlock holmes and Boy George terrible looking images but today EW have released an official image of the cast and as it’s the 1970’s  looking rather groovy or more like a cross between The Munsters or The Adams Family  meets a little Scooby Doo. As ive no idea of the tv show this image actually looks rather amusing .

Anyway check the image out and below the image is the movie synopsis for those who are like me clueless about this show and if you have watched the original series on UK television leave your comments below. Dark Shadows stars Johnny Depp (no extra points for guessing he’s in it), Mrs Tim Burton  Helena Boham Carter, Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Moretz, Gulliver McGrath, Bella Heathcote, and Jackie Earle Haley. The Munsters, Adams Family, sorry Dark Shadows will be out May 2012.
