First Look At Timothée Chalamet As Paul Atreides In Dune!

Timothée Chalamet (Dune)

The First look at Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune is finally here! An image of Timothée Chalamet As Paul Atreides has arrived online, check it out…

Vanity Fair were the first people to share this image, via their Instagram account. The image doesn’t reveal too much apart from Paul Atreides . We see him walking along  a beach on his home planet Caladan. In these days of isolation, fans of Dune books have been awaiting a long time for a new version.  David Lynch’s 1984 version was more ‘cult’ than quality and after Denis Villeneive’s Blade Runner 2049, we’re more than excited!

So what about the other characters? Trailer? It seems the coming days  we will get to see more teases!

We don’t have an actual synopsis for Villeneuve’s Dune. But if you know the Canadian filmmaker , you’ll know he never reveals all his cards at once. Whilst this story is no stranger to the screen, this version of the cult sci-fi will be in two parts. At this point only the first part is confirmed for release, part two will be down to how well part one does at the box office.  Here’s the general blurb.

Dune is set in the distant future, and follows Paul Atreides, whose family assumes control of the desert planet Arrakis. As the only producer of a highly valuable resource, jurisdiction over Arrakis is contested among competing noble families. After Paul and his family are betrayed, the story explores themes of politics, religion, and man’s relationship with nature, as Paul leads a rebellion to restore his family’s reign.

The film will also star Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac playing Chalamet’s parents. Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Zendaya.  Alongside Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, David Dastmalchian, and Stephen McKinley Henderson.

With so many films been postponed,  Dune still set for December 18th release…for now!
