First Look At Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Netflix Kate

Mary Elizabeth Winstead has proven she can handle herself in the action genre. Her role in Birds Of Prey cemented that fact and later this year you will she her get ruthless in Netflix bound action Thriller Kate.

The actress plays an assassin on a job in Tokyo, Japan only find herself poisoned. She now has only 24 hours to unearth revenge before it kills her.

The film may not deliver on originality in regards to the synopsis, we don’t care. This looks insane, crazy stuff  that does reminds us a little like Jason Statham‘s Crank. If we get some of that film’s insanely bonkers chaos, we have a potential winner on the cards!

The film is directed Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) with Woody Harrelson as Kate’s handler, as well as Tadanobu Asano, Michiel Huisman, Jun Kunimura, and Japanese action and musician Miyavi, who looks like is playing the Kate’s rival.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:
After she’s irreversibly poisoned, a ruthless criminal operative has less than 24 hours to exact revenge on her enemies and in the process forms an unexpected bond with the daughter of one of her past victims.

Netflix haven’t announced a release date yet for Kate apart from expect it to be released in 2021.
