We meet Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and his dog like dragon Toothless five years after their first adventure the pair are desperate to go on one more adventure again. Just as the restless pair are about to give up they explore outside the safe confines of their village discovering  a cave with  a ice dragon and the legendary Dragon Rider forcing our heroes once again race against time to save their lands.

If anyone tells you that only Disney/Pixar rules animation How To Train Your Dragon  proved they don’t have it all their way in successful film stakes. We’re excited that  4 years on the sequel is coming but will it suffer from follow up blues and disappoint? On evidence of the new trailer everything is looking highly promising it will deliver the goods maybe even top the original film.

Before you watch this trailer we must warn you in the tradition of many movie trailer there is a big spoiler with a connection with Hiccup, tread with caution.

How To Train Your Dragon 2 also co-stars the voices of Kristen Wiig, Gerard Butler, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jonah Hill, America Ferrera, T.J. Miller, and Craig Ferguson will all be back with Kit Harrington joining the cast. The film looks set for a June 2014 release date, actual day to be confirmed.

Synopsis

Set for release in June 2014, The thrilling second chapter of the epic HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON trilogy brings us back to the fantastical world of Hiccup and Toothless five years after the two have successfully united dragons and vikings on the island of Berk. While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island’s new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds.

When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.
