Film Review – Paddignton 2 (2017)
I am loving the cast of this film, some of Britain’s finest actors are in this new film so it’s no wonder it was a big hit in my house!
Synopsis
The much-anticipated sequel to the worldwide hit family film finds Paddington happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, where has become a popular member of the community, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes. Whilst searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s antique shop and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief…
Review
With Brendan Gleeson and Hug Grant joining the all-star cast, I have to admit Hugh Grant’s character is rather brilliant, (spoiler alert) a baddy, but the many characters he plays in his loft shows his true acting talent. Something that made us laugh many a time whilst watching the film.
Rated PG I watched this film with my 6-year-old who watched it with interested the whole way through, this is often a good guide for me as to whether a film is actually good or not, as he won’t sit for long for many films.
Even though our lovable bear ends up wrongly accused of theft and in prison, the film doesn’t lose its humour and even in prison there are scenes that made us chuckle and of course the prisoner’s band together with Paddington to help in clear his name…. or maybe that just want to escape prison…

This is a fabulous family film, with lots of laughter and feel good feelings, rooting for the good guys and willing Paddington to find his way back home.
