If you take into consideration Joe Carnahan’s A-Team, the upcoming Baywatch, with the release of CHiPs: Law And Disorder in UK cinemas this Friday, there’s very few 1980’s TV shows not without Big screen adaptations. Like many things, they will probably come in time, but today it’s all eyes on California Highway Patrol.

World’s will be colliding this Friday 24th March as Dax Shepard (Hit and Run, TVโ€™Parenthood), Michael Peรฑa (The Martian) and Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), are united on screen in two new clips from the hilarious action comedy. The first clip called “What Are Your Wearing” John (Shepard) turns up for ‘swimming lesson’ in his work clothes. The second clip ‘She’s been held hostage‘, the clue might be in the clip title but it doesn’t stop the boys having an argument on who is ‘sexting’ to who!

If you’re old enough to remember this popular Saturday prime time TV Show you’ll know it was good clean fun, but we’re 30 years on the brand of humour has certainly changed. Thanks to 22/22 Jump Street movies, it becomes ‘hip’ to go R Rating and deliver an entertaining movie without destroying the origins. We can’t deny the CHiPs movie has been low key compared to that other Johnson/Efron 80’s movie but that doesn’t mean this won’t be funny. If you want to know how crude they may go with this one check out the Red Band UK Trailer

Jon Baker (Shepard) and Frank โ€œPonchโ€ Poncherello (Peรฑa) have just joined the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Los Angeles but for very different reasons. Baker is a beaten up pro motorbiker trying to put his life and marriage back together. Poncherello is a cocky undercover Federal agent investigating a multi-million dollar heist that may be an inside jobโ€”inside the CHP.

The inexperienced rookie and hardened pro are teamed together but clash more than click, so kickstarting a partnership is easier said than done. But with Bakerโ€™s bike skills combined with Ponchโ€™s street savvy, it might just workโ€ฆif they donโ€™t drive each other crazy along the way.

CHiPs: Law And Disorder arrive in UK & Irish Cinemas Friday 24th March, co-starring Adam Brody, Rosa Salazar, Vincent D’Onofrio.
