X-Men Days Of Future Past with Wolverine

Familiar Faces Set To Return For X-Men:Days Of Future Past Cast

As we creep closer to the start of the shooting for Bryan Singers X-Men:Days Of Future Past the recruitment drive for the film is in full spin with the director confirming several familiar faces will be joining the cast.

Via the Twitterverse Singer has announced Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore will all be returning to reprise their roles of Rogue, Kitty Pryde and Iceman. The will be joining already confirmed  Hugh Jackman Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen all coming back to play Wolverine, Professor (X) Charles Xavier, Magneto in the eagerly waited X-Men:First Class sequel.

Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage & @shawnrashmore to #XMen #DaysofFuturePast – thank you @brettratner for letting them live!

Whilst during the first three films Page’s character Kitty Pryde or Shadowcat as she’s referred to at times has appeared in previous original trilogy, her part has been low key however for X-Men:Days Of Future Past her role is pivotal. In the 1981 comicbook Kitty Pryde who became a fully fledged X-Men Member in Last Stand in the comic her astrally-projected future self takes over her body in the past to warn the X-Men to alter the future. With her appearance now confirmed this may suggest Bryan Singer is staying close to the comic book’s story the film will be based on but as the First Class universe is the main focus there might be some alterations in order here.

With production about to start expect more news to appear soon.

Out of the First Class cast only Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender have been confirmed so far. X-Men:Days Of Future Past is set for a 18th July 2014 release date.
