The Expendables 2 Will be PG-13, Thank Chuck Norris For That!

Let’s be honest The Expendables wasn’t a classic film in all accounts but the no holds barred gratuitous action and violence with many of 1980’s action hero’s back on the big screen attempting to relive some of the old magic. Even for first film, more this this film the cult names had been flying around and when they finally got Chuck Norris to sign on the dotted line action fans celebrated.
Chuck Norris is a man with many special abilities but now it seems one of those powers might be ‘mind control’, only joking. Seriously it looks like he has convinced the producers if they want him part of the film the rating of the film has to at least PG-13(roughly 12A UK)and late last night Sly Stallone confirmed the so called rumour.
“In Expendables 2, there was a lot of vulgar dialogue in the screenplay. Fot this reason, many young people wouldn’t be able to watch this. But I don’t play in movies like this. Due to that I said I won’t be a part of that if the hardcore language is not ereased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be classified in the category of PG-13.”
Norris said during a Polish News magazine interview, which severely disappointing which is saying to me Chuck Norris doesn’t want to appear in those R Rated films that he made his name on like Delta Force, Missing In Action, Hellbound, you can guarantee there be more than the language missing from this film as well. This film despite the negative first film reviews does (or did) have a loyal fan base which will be very upset, Norris does have a lot of moral convictions he believes in and we respect them for that however this news will probably please the film studio will gladly downgrade as it will open the film up to a wider audience. Despite the recent 18 rating releases of Shame and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo both struggled at the box office the 18 rated film is becoming more rarer by the year which to many adult film fans could be seen as a sign of film studio’s are more interested in quantity ($$$) than quality.
In defence of his buddy Sly Stallone last night via AICN released the following comment:
“the film is fantastic with Van Damme turning in an inspired performance… Our final battle is one for the ages. The PG13 rumor is true, but before your readers pass judgement, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this Barbeque of Grand scale Ass Bashing will not leave anyone hungry…Sly”
