Gran Turismo out in UK Cinema 11th August

We always hear people talk about ‘this film is made for cinema‘, Gran Turismo just might be one of those films. Sony Pictures Releasing will be hoping Neil Blomkamp’s film will be and today we get a sneak peek.

Based on the Playstation game of the same name, you might be surprised it’s taking so long to make it. Video game movie adaptations history hasn’t been great and every time we hope the next will be the perfect one.

This short promo plays more like a behind the scenes Featurette than a trailer. It mixes real footage at the venue for Hungarian Grand Prix and what we can expect. From the cast such as David Harbour (Stranger Things, Violent Night) and connecting the source material with the movie.

Archie Madekwe (Apple TV+ See) is our teenage sensation Jann Mardenborough. A gamer who gets a chance to actually ride the proper GTA in Japan.

Based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, the film is the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional racecar driver.

The film also stars David Harbour, Darren Barnet, Thomas Kretschmann, Djimon Hounsou, and Orlando Bloom. Gran Turismo is set for 11th August UK and Irish cinema release.
