Evil Takes Root In Shudder Original Mandrake Trailer

Evil takes root in the indie Northern Irish horror for Lynne Davison‘s debut Mandrake. Ahead of it’s debut on Shudder next month, we get a look at the official Trailer.
Deidre Mullins (The Dark Mile and TV’s Man Down) stars in this one. She plays probation officer Cathy Madden who has the unlikely task of rehabilitating Mary Laidlaw aka ‘Bloody Mary’. Every client deserves a second chance is Cathy’s motto, even killers. She is tested when two children go missing near Mary’s farm.
The film made it’s premiere at the start of 2022 at Arrow FrightFest at Glasgow Film Festival. Our genre editor Bradley Hadcroft watched the film, describing Davison and the film…”Lynne Davison is definitely a director to keep an eye on. Mandrake represents the opening gambit of an astonishingly confident new voice on the genre movie scene“.
