Evil Comes In Waves In The Antenna Trailer
Freedom Of Speech is slow eroding around the world,some countries worst in others. Dark Star Pictures have released a rather awesome New Trailer for Orçun Behram‘s The Antenna freedom is ‘controlled’ in a Dystopian Turkey.
Turkey over the years has been renowned for it’s heartfelt Arthouse dramas. The last few years the country has become a place for genre films and horror especially. Can Evernol’s Baskin, House Wife two perfect examples both films played on the international festival with a degree of success. The past year Behram’s film has also picked up acclaim which clearly reflects the political situation in Turkey.
A big slice of dread and black ooze dominate this trailer, off course don’t trust modern technology!
In a dystopian Turkey, the Government installs new networks throughout the country to monitor information. The installation goes wrong in a crumbling apartment complex and Mehmet, the building intendant, will have to confront the evil entity behind the inexplicable transmissions that threaten the residents. The Antenna is a horror film with political elements that stands as an allegory for the lack of the freedom of speech in today’s Turkey.
The film stars Ihsan Önal, Gül Arici, Levent Ünsal, Isil Zeynep, Murat Saglam, Elif Çakman, Mert Toprak Yadigar and Eda Öze.
The Antenna doesn’t have a UK release yet, Arrow Video Frightfest Halloween? The film will get an limited virtual theatre release on 2nd October before going VOD on 20th October in The USA.
