Everything’s Complicated In Apple’s The Mosquito Coast Trailer

Apple have released the Official Trailer for their upcoming drama series The Mosquito Coast.

The much anticipated series stars  Justin Theroux and Melissa George with Rupert Wyatt (Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, The Gambler, Captive State).

The seven episode series comes from creator Neil Cross, and is considered by some as a ‘sequel’ of sorts to the 1986 film of the same name. Which itself based on the novel by Paul Theroux who is onboard as an executive producer as well as the uncle to Justin.

The Mosquito Coast has been described as a gripping adventure and layered character drama. Which follows the dangerous journey of a radical idealist and brilliant inventor, Allie Fox (Justin Theroux), who uproots his family for Mexico when they suddenly find themselves on the run from the US government.

A brilliant rebel (Justin Theroux) and his wife (Melissa George) take their family on the run to protect them, but end up exposing them to more danger than ever. At every turn of their adventure, they encounter increasing threats and intensifying moral choices from which there’s no turning back

The series also stars Logan Polish, Gabriel Bateman, Kimberly Elise and James LeGros.

The Mosquito Coast premieres globally from Friday, 30th April on Apple TV+. New episodes will follow every Friday after that.
