This weekend will see the cinema release of Colleen Hoover’s Regretting You. Early 2026 fans of the author have another film to look forward to, Reminders Of Him. Today Universal Pictures tease fans with the first Trailer asks does everyone deserve a second chance?

2024 did see the release of It Ends With Us starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. It was a film caused controversy not just the story but off screen, for fans will be hoping the upcoming films will ‘clean the slate’.

British filmmaker Vanessa Caswill (Thirteen, Love At First Sight) directs. Reminders Of Him stars Maika Monroe (Longlegs) as Kenna who finds herself in jail thanks to something that happened with her boyfriend. 7 years later returns to her hometown in hope of rebuilding her life and meet her young daughter she never met.

It’s a cheese fest that fans of the author and genre will love. This one also stars Tyriq Withers, Rudy Pankow, Lainey Wilson, Lauren Graham, Bradley Whitford.

After a perfect outing with her boyfriend, Kenna (Maika Monroe; The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, Longlegs) makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison. Seven years later, Kenna returns to her hometown in Wyoming, hoping to rebuild her life and earn the chance to reunite with her young daughter, Diem, whom she has never known.

When Diem’s custodial grandparents adamantly refuse Kenna’s attempts to see her daughter, Kenna discovers unexpected compassion, and then something truer and deeper, with former NFL player and local bar owner Ledger (Tyriq Withers; HIM, I Know What You Did Last Summer). As their secret romance develops, so do the dangers for both of them, leading Kenna toward heartbreak and, ultimately, the hope for a second chance.

Reminders Of Him will be released in UK and Irish cinemas  on 13th March 2026.
