Evangeline Lily To Play Paul Rudd’s Love Interest In Ant Man?

Edgar Wright‘s Ant Man cast is taking with Paul Rudd confirmed to be the titular role and it now seems we have is love interest as Evangeline Lily is in talks to play that role.

After appearing as Elf warrior Tauriel in The Hobbit:Desolation Of Smaug it seems Wright was impressed in what he saw she is in early talks to fill the lead female role. What role she’ll play is not exactly 100% but according to Variety who broke the story she may play the daughter of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) the original Ant Man.

This could make an interesting story with Scott Laing (new Ant Man) she maybe be like a sparring partner for him however in the comic book Pym doesn’t have kids. The only main female character  in Ant Man’s comic universe  is  Janet Van Dyne  who also happens to be Wasp possibly setting  something up for in the future.

Every is still up in the air on exactly what script and plot Joe Cornish has created but things should be alot clearer soon as Ant Man is set to start shooting this April, set for a July 2015 release. So expect more on the film over the next few weeks as we get closer to that start date.
