Enjoy a taste of Hannibal season 3
A superbly stylish new trailer for Hannibal‘s third season has arrived for our viewing pleasure, and it looks exquisite. Based on the character Dr. Hannibal Lecter from Thomas Harris’ Hannibal books, Bryan Fuller’s gory yet stylish thriller has been garnering a cult-following.
The last series left a few loose threads hanging to say the least, and saw the titular Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) escape to Europe with Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson). In the first tease of footage from series three, we can see that Hannibal isn’t quite as alone as he thought in Europe, and his old ‘pal’ Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) is keen to see him.
According to producer Fuller, the new series will focus on Hannibal’s past, with the writers picking the best bits from Harris’ books, looking in particular at origin story Hannibal Rising and Red Dragon. With the recent news that Richard Armitage has been cast as Francis Dolarhyde a.k.a The Tooth Fairy, the main villain from Red Dragon, season three is certainly looking interesting indeed.
Hannibal will return to US screens in the Summer, and will hopefully arrive on Sky Living in the UK later this year.
