Embassy Siege Action Thriller 6 DAYS starts shooting in London

UK Hostage Thriller 6 Days directed by Toa Fraser (The Dead Lands) has officially started shooting in London after completing it’s stint in New Zealand. To promote the film Icon Film Distribution have sent us the first images from the film….

The film stars Jamie Bell (Fantastic Four), Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service) and Abbie Cornish (Limitless).6 Days is based on the actual events of April 1980 when six armed gunmen stormed the Iranian Embassy at London’s Princes Gate, taking 26 people hostage. Six days of tense stand-off ensued as a group of highly trained soldiers from Britain’s Special Air Service (SAS) prepared to raid the building.

The film is been produced by Fraser’s regular Matthew Metcalfe who describes the film as “a tense action/thriller that will tell the story of one of the most audacious and incredible special forces raids of all time.” Adding that “GFC is incredibly proud to be telling this story and is thankful for all the support it has received from those who participated in the real events.”

An official New Zealand/UK co-production, 6 Days has completed its New Zealand shoot and will continue in August in London.6 Days doesn’t have official UK release date but it’s set for a 2016 release date, also starring Martin Shaw (George Gently, The Professionals), and Xavier Horan.
