It’s an idea thats been around for a few years now and even Stan Lee mentioned he had a meeting Edgar Wright about and now its happening The Ant-Man movie. Recently with Box Office Magazine The Shaun of The Dead, Scott Pilgrim directortalked briefly about the big screen adaptation of the Marvel comicbook and how he hasn’t had a chanceย  & wont until September to work on a second draft of the script. He also goes on about he aspirations for the movie this is what he had to say;

I havenโ€™t actually started the second draft yetโ€“Iโ€™m not going to be able to until this film [Scott Pilgrim] is outโ€“but what we wrote for the first draft, and what Marvel really liked, is that itโ€™s funny, but itโ€™s a genre film. Itโ€™s about the level of comedy that Iron Man has. The idea is to make a high-concept genre film where itโ€™s within another genre. His suit and its power is the big gadget and it takes place in the real world. I just wanted to do something that was slightly different than the superhero origin film. I felt that between that and the various mad scientist, crazy doctor films that weโ€™ve all seen, this would be a way into an origin that was slightly different. Iโ€™m not really a multi-taskerโ€“I havenโ€™t done anything since Marvel liked our first draft.

According to source of this post he has heard very good positive things on the script which is good news for movie fans who still love the drowning movieworld of superhero’s with talk of Marvel Entertainment wanting to start production as soon as possible. Ant-Man isn’t one of the A-listers in superhero world so convincing people to see it could cause some problems especially moviegoers who are not avid comic book fans.

If you dont know who AntMan is here’s the Marvel Comics Profile /ย  Wikipedia
