E.Roger Mitchell Joins The Hunger Games Catching Fire Cast As Chaff

The wait still goes on to see who will play Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games Catching Fire but as we wait director Frances Lawrence is quickly filling up the other parts of the cast and now in daily tradition we have a new cast member. Today’s newcomer is E. Roger Mitchell has been cast in the role of Chaff in the much anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ worldwide smash hit novel Catching Fire. A tribute from District 11, Chaff won the 45th Annual Hunger Games and will compete in the Quarter Quell.

E. Roger Mitchell is an Atlanta based actor with decades of experience on the stage. His small and big screen roles have included “Battle: Los Angeles”, The Shield, One Tree Hill, and Tyler Perry projects including “Diary Of A Mad Black Woman”, “Daddy’s Little Girls”, and House Of Payne.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE will be directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has sold more than 50 million books in print and digital in the U.S. alone.

E.Roger Mitchell joins Bruno Gunn (Brutus), Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee) , Amanda Plummer (Wireless) and Jena Malone (Johanna Mason) , Lynn Cohen (Mags), Meta Golding (Enobaria) and Alan Ritchson (Gloss). So is there any room for Katniss herself?
