Operation Avalanche is a very interesting film about the rumoured fake moon landing in the 60’s. We follow a fake documentary film crew who are trying to figure out a way tricking people watching the moon landing live on TV that it was, in fact, true. Working for the FBI, however, comes to be very difficult when NASA find out what these men are up to.
I am going to be perfectly honest going into this film I had no idea what to expect, nor what this film was even really about. I am pleased to say however that I really enjoyed it. Not usually my type of film I liked what the film was trying to do and how the film played out.
I will be honest, though, Operation Avalanche was a bit of a slow burner, which is fine and I can totally say that there will be people who will love a slow burner. I think it’s definitely a film you shouldn’t give up on. I think it is one you need to commit yourself to for sure!
I liked the film style of the movie and how it was found footage in a way. Also, they used (what I think) real life footage from the time which added to the effect of the film.
Operation Avalanche is a very historical film in many ways and very interesting as I said to see it play out. Although this isn’t the typical kind of film I would normally watch it was very entertaining and I would certainly recommend it to people.
I think to give this one a go so what you think. If you’re not sure at first stick with it I am sure you will like it.
Enjoyable, interesting
